ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. To be blunt I’m horrible at golf, but I enjoy it. This is the most basic and simple advice I have heard. I have been told and shown various ways to hit with my driver and have had no success. I have tried this at the driving range with great improvement. Cheers to you sir!

  2. I frankly love the presentation, makes hitting the driver (at least in a basic sort of way) appear very simple and achievable, even for someone like me. OTOH, there are many YT swing instructors who make their approach look easy and when I try them I still mangle the ball. So I'll need to try Danny's suggestions out before passing final judgment, but I did upvote the video and subscribe to his channel to see what his iron tutorials are like.

  3. Those of that have limited shoulder rotation must have the clubface slightly closed at address. Then rotate the forearms thru impact to make square contact. We can not generate enough clubhead speed. I have the 2018 Cobra Max 11 degree senior flex. Any hole over 380-440 I drive 225 straight then next club is 9w160yds or 7w 170yds to front of green pitch on with a 60 or 64 and one putt! (I use the DT Solo/Soft/Velocity)

  4. Well Danny, I may be wrong but if you don't allow that left foot to come off the ground on your back turn, you are going to end up with a bad back before you make 50. I know about "torque" and all but it really isn't needed to hit a golf ball long and straight. In fact, anytime you feel torque anywhere is a good time to stop doing whatever is causing it. I don't think that you would teach that torque stuff to an old man and then that begs the question, why teach it to a young man?

  5. I literally watched this video like 3 hours ago, and it worked for me! I never hit straighter or longer in my life not even on fluke hits. (Hit large bucket 112 balls, about 95% long 200-250 marker and straight.) Thanks Danny looking forward to my next round.

  6. Just got my first set of clubs a week ago. Great video for a first timer like me.
I've played hockey & baseball and found myself trying to "kill" the ball when I first tried swinging.
This helped slow myself down and now I'm trying to work on muscle memory with just this swing.

  7. I just started golfing in February and I’m terrible at hitting with the driver! You make it easy to understand! I’ll try your instructions this week! Thank you for the videos!

  8. Danny, quick question. In your previous video's, particularly hitting iron shots, the school of thought is to move the bottom of the arch 2-3 inches in front of the ball. Does this apply to drivers and fairway woods? Your thoughts?

  9. Its been over 20 years since I seriously played the game! It's like starting over. With your tips and guidance, The most basic things are coming back to me. Also being a senior, I do have restricted motion! Your tips allow me to regain the cofidence to play a much beter game!!

  10. Danny, another excellent video. This certainly is a great way to practice and really helps in achieving a center strike. You mention it on this video, how once you practice this and get this part down, the rest is much easier. Can you maybe do a part 2 video on where to take it from here as a next step?

  11. Hi Danny, Im the same as a lot of guys. I have mastered this bit but have no distance as this relies totally on body rotation. Do the next video where you show how to involve our arms as well as rotation to get it over 200+ yards.

  12. Danny Maude, looking at your pre-setup routine, you seem to have the club below the ball, then you bend forward a little before swinging the club. I have a problem, regardless of the club, adjusting my distance to the ball which create inconsistent ball strike. Any suggestions?

  13. Mo Norman would always say to keep your hands in the fairway at all times, and he was one of the best ball strikers ever according to Tiger. He had a simple single plane swing. He hit 1500 hundred drives and they were all 10 feet from each other.

  14. Thanks for the lesson. My kids (ages 10 and 6) and I just watched it and now we’re headed to the driving range to hit some balls and try it out!🏌🏻‍♀️🏌🏻‍♂️

  15. U broke the driver swing down nicely from Hip to Hip, and it’s very understandable, can u maybe in you’re next video explain the full driver swing, for me it’s difficult to understand how, get the club back into those , positions u just explained !! Thanks again Danny
